Why should I purchase my vacuum from your store?At West Van Vacuum Centre, we focus on carrying the best quaility vacuums at each individual price point. And we will ONLY carry vacuums that we can get parts for and service. When you buy a vacuum from us, we are the ones responsible for taking care of you if you have a problem with it and we want to be able to help you. Happy customers are what keeps us in business! We are also a Family Business that has been in business for over 33 Years, so we know vacuums! If you have a problem with your vacuum or a question, no matter how big or small, please let us know as we want to help!

Should I purchase my vacuum online or in-storeIf you can, we 100% recommend purchasing your vacuum in-store, as you can almost always try the vacuum before purchasing it, to ensure you are happy with it. Vacuums are very personal, and just because a vacuum model has good reviews online, it doesn't mean it'll be the right vacuum for you. We always encourage our customers to give us feedback on vacuums and other items they purchase from us, so that we know that we are recommending the right products to them the first time. We want our customers to be happy when they buy a vacuum from us, and that's why we want to recommend the right vacuum!

Do you offer free shipping?Items exceeding $199 before tax qualify for free shipping! If you are interested in purchasing a central vacuum and require installation, please feel welcome to call us! We offer free same day delivery to North Shore residents who place any order (both sale and full priced items) over $199 + tax before 3pm on Monday - Saturday, or regular business days.

Do you provide warranty services for your vacuums?Absolutley! If you have a problem with a vacuum you purchased from us, absolutely contact us to let us know and we will do our best to sort it out for you. Almost all vacuum repairs are done in our store, as we want to be the ones to look after you.

Should I get a bagged or bagless vacuum?Bagged vacuums are, without question, more reliable and more hygenic vacuum cleaners. For example, we find that the average Miele and Sebo vacuum lasts more than 15 years in regular household use! The reason for this is bagged vacuums are less susceptible to clogging compared to bagless vacuums, and the motors breathe better. Bagged vacuums typically have more Air-Flow as well, meaning they will do a better clean on your home surfaces. Just make sure you have the right accessories. One thing to watch out for when you buy any vacuum, is to make sure you are buying from a company that wants to take care of you. Not a company that constantly changes part fittings and filters. In our opinion, some of the best brands to buy from are: Sebo, Miele, and CycloVac, as we've seen them go to great lengths for their customers!

How long do repairs take?Some repairs are done within minutes on the spot, some repairs can take more than a week depending on part availabilities, etc. Most of our repairs however are done within 2 days, but we always do our best to get your vacuum back in your home as soon as possible, as we know its hard to keep a home clean without a working vacuum.

How do your prices compare to other stores?We always try to be as competitive as we can with prices! With that being said, if you find a lower price on the same product from a store in BC, we will match their price*! And there is no hard feelings for asking us to match a price, as we want to know if somebody's prices are lower than ours! *Price match policies are only met if the competing store is not violating map price policies set by the manufacturer, etc. Product must be the same brand, model, and condition.

What is your return policy?We rarely get our vacuums returned, because we focus on giving you the right vacuum the first time, and we only sell the best quality products at each individual price point. But we do understand that vacuums are very personal, and sometimes it just doesn't end up working out. If the vacuum is in unused condition, including the box and all the contents the vacuum comes with, we will provide an in-store credit for the purchased price of the vacuum if returned within 1 week of receiving the vacuum. Air purifier returns are only accepted within the first 24hrs of delivery and the unit must be in unused condition. Shipping fees are non-refundable and cannot be used for credit. Customer is responsible for shipping the product back to our store. At West Van Vacuum Centre, we are in it for the long run. That is why we only focus on selling quality. We have been in business for 36 years, because customers know that they can trust us when they need a reliable product that is going to work. If you are unsure if the vacuum you are interested in is going to be the right vacuum for you, feel welcome to ask us as we want to help. And remember, we are also technicians, so we really know what vacuums really work!

If I purchase my vacuum here, can it be serviced at other stores?"As much as we can't speak for other stores, most other stores will be more than happy to assist you with your vacuum repairs or trouble shooting. But you are always 100% welcome to come to us if your vacuum ever has a problem, or if you just have questions regarding your vacuum. We are an authorized Miele, Sebo, CycloVac, Airstream, including many other brands of vacuums, dealer. That means that you get real manufacturer warranties for your vacuums, that don't just have to be serviced by us. But again, we are always more than happy to assist you!
