If you have mostly hardfloors or very thin pile carpet and just need a simple but reliable vacuum, then the Miele Compact C1 may just be the right vacuum for you.
West Van Vacuum's recommendations:

If you have hardwood, delicate, or another form of higher end flooring, then we recommend adding on the Miele SBB 300-3 floor brush for optimal performance. 

If you want a better clean for your carpets, and you don't have shedding pets with long hair, then we recommend adding on the STB 305 TurboBrush for more reliable performance.
 
NOTE: You do not need to purchase these accessories at the same time of vacuum purchase, you can always add these on later in the future if you choose to.​
