If you have mostly hardfloors and want a fantastic clean, then the Miele Guard M1 may just be the right vacuum for you.
West Van Vacuum's recommendations:

If you have some wall to wall carpet and / or many rugs, then we recommend one of the following: adding on the STB 305 TurboBrush OR taking a look at the Miele C2 Cat and Dog, C3 Excellence, C3 Cat and Dog, or C3 PowerPlus. The Miele C2 Total Care may be suitable for some users as well.

If you have delicate hardfloors, then we recommend adding on the SBB 300-3 Floor Brush.
 
NOTE: You do not need to purchase additional accessories at the same time of vacuum purchase, you can always add these on later in the future if you choose to.​​
